Re: Parent/Child "Recovery" Notifications

Why would Event Handlers be out of scope?

Re: Parent/Child "Recovery" Notifications

I understand that there is no built-in logic to address this issue, but there must be someway to script it, right?

Parent/Child "Recovery" Notifications

Hi. This may belong in NagiosCore but since I have XI.... 1) What is the macro/variable name to call a host's parent host? 2) What's the best way to get Nagios to run a check (event handler? script?) before sending "RECOVERY" emails for a child and if the host's $LASTHOSTSTATE$ == "UN...

Re: Monitoring Engine Time Incorrect - Causing 'Status' prob

What it ended up being, is that the services in question were using a template they were not supposed to. So once I corrected the template settings, notifications began working.

Thanks!

Re: Monitoring Engine Time Incorrect - Causing 'Status' prob

Thanks. I noticed that "Notifications" have been disabled for all my services. Do you believe this to be an issue with the Status being incorrect? If not, is there a way to batch enable notifications for all services? Josh UPDATE: The service restarts did not resolve the issue, however a r...

Monitoring Engine Time Incorrect - Causing 'Status' problems

Hello, I've identified an issue with Host/Service 'Duration' values, in some cases they were displaying a negative value. I realize now this may have been caused by the timezone change which I had made a few days prior, while Nagios was still running. (My mistake) After researching the issue, I foun...

Re: Active Directory Integration & Nagios Xi, no luck.

Well, I was able to get things resolved. I ended up blowing away the old 'Active Directory' component and installed as fresh. I then tacked on an 'ad.' to my account suffix.

Basically, this ended up being my problem, the component works great.

Thanks!

Re: Active Directory Integration & Nagios Xi, no luck.

Alrighty, first things first. I would highly suggest only modifying the AD component and settings via the Nagios web UI. Secondly, when you mention that the local account still works but AD does not, this is expected, and just to be sure you understand all users that you need AD authentication for ...

Active Directory Integration & Nagios Xi, no luck.

Hello, We seem to be having issues implementing the “Active Directory Integration for Nagios Xi” component. I understand it’s still in beta but it seems to be working quite well for most of your customers. Here’s what’s been completed thus far: 1. Configure Active Directory Integration component, co...

Re: Nagios XI Active Directory Auth, receiving error upon l

I've already removed the LDAP component, this hasn't solved anything.

Since this component is a beta and there isn't much documentation, am I on my own from this point?
