update ruby to latest version 2.2.2
I am running ruby 1.8.7.374-4.el6_6 on my nagios xi server. I would like to update it to the latest version (2.2.2) but 'yum update ruby' says there are No Packages marked for Update. The nagios version is Nagios XI 2014R2.7 on vmware (from the ova). Is is possible to upgrade ruby? Is 2.2.2 supporte...

So if i restore to an earlier local backup, that would resolve any database corruption correct? I then upgraded to R2.7, got an error but resolved that. Updating NRDP.. cp: cannot stat `/usr/local/nrdp/server/config.inc.php': No such file or directory now i am in the process of re-importing my hosts...

If I ran the ./upgrade successfully, would that "restore" all my corrupted system files? I noticed that most of my service cfg files are zero byte. I will recover those from a backup.

My nagiosxi 2014R2.5 vm ran out of disk sapce. I was able to extend the LVM but I still cant start the Database Backend. On the server side, it is sufficient to change that check_nrpe -t value on the command? Or is there another setting that needs to be updated as well.
