Nah they kind of fail at the same time... The parent is generally a branch router and the children are switches and other devices behind that router. I did consider turning off recovery notifications for the children, but we actually need them on in the event that a child genuinely fails and recover...

Hi I'm monitoring a network environment of around 2000 hosts and have parent/child relationships configured. I have disabled the unreachable notifications for all of my child hosts. I'm finding that if a parent goes down, I only get a notification for that parent (not the children), which is good. H...
