I fixed it.
The issue was openssl.
Installed, recompiled, reloaded, restarted, working.

No i did not, I'm installing from the source.

I got the plugins from Nagios' site:
http://www.nagios.org/download/plugins/

I am running ubuntu and I just installed Nagios. Compiled it from the source, followed the instructions but it seems that the plugins are not getting installed so when I log in (localhost/nagios) it just says 127 error, plugins may not be installed...etc I checked the libexec directory and it's empt...
