Yes. I switched to nagios and it worked...But not from Nagios server.

where do i need to define you command...in nrpe.cfg (hpux end) or in nagios server end.

Not from the HPUX server end...Locally it is working.. If i am running from Nagios server as follows using check_nrpe, getting error as unable to read output. root@Ubuntu-repo:/usr/local/nagios/etc/objects# /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe -H 10.1.10.51 -c check_memhpux NRPE: Unable to read output

I know basic scripts only not much more...Can you help me to create the script.. First nagios i have installed in the path, /usr/local/nagios, this will have default service /etc/init.d/nagios. let it be, dont have any issue...but for the Second nagios, i will install in the path , /usr/local/selva,...

Ok..How about the service...will have only /etc/init.d/nagios . so how do we restart the service if we doing any changes in one nagios.

There is no file /etc/oratab. OS is HPUX 11iV3 i defined the ORACLE_HOME is NRPE user's profile, so its working in local server not in nagios server..I couldnt find where is the issue.
