I started to make changes in order to make Nagios more friendly with Amazon instance , because I know you don't support it yet, however, here are some friendly changes I already did to make stuff work: in file: /usr/local/nagiosxi/var/xi-...

Re: Slowness after upgrading Nagios to 5.5.0
Still didn't work on the profile file.
However, we tried to go back to the previous version, and it seems like there is bug going back to the previous version as well.
Already saw several topics about this, I see we are not the only one in this boat :/

Re: Slowness after upgrading Nagios to 5.5.0
Yes, I did these steps from the documentation. About profile file, will take time to exclude sensitive data from there. I also noticed that when opening tabs, HTTPD consumes a lot of CPU which seems like the problem. From the /var/log/httpd/error_log I see many repeatable errors: [Fri Jul 13 16:32:4...

Slowness after upgrading Nagios to 5.5.0
Hi,
We are experiencing slow performance after upgrading to 5.5.0
Especially when opening several tabs, the CPU is increasing.
What can be the reason? Please instruct me which logs or details I need to give you.

Re: Need solution for long plugin execution + passive check
it confused me now
In one guide it is presented as a tool which is replacing Nagios or working in parallel, in the other guide it looks like I can used NCPA as an agent and add passive checks
I will try to work with the guides and check it.

Re: Need solution for long plugin execution + passive check
First I would strongly suggest NCPA passive checks if possible https://www.nagios.org/ncpa/help.php#passive Otherwise, we would need to know what OS you are dealing with on the sending server. Thanks. I don't mind if this will be NCPA. I opened the link, is there a guide explaining how to install t...

Need solution for long plugin execution + passive check
Hello, I have a complicated check which takes a lot of time until it receives an output. In our organization, we are using he default timeout value in nagios.cfg which is 60 seconds, and we don't want to change it. I tried to find a solution using nagios to be able to monitor this check (cronjob is ...

Re: Updating very old nagios version to the newest
Update 2: Process State - Running Database Maintenance - Running Load on machine: 75 So, all services are running now on your Nagios XI server? Is the load on the machine going down? Do you see any errors in the mysqld.log (mariadb.log)? Wow, after several hours the cpu dropped from 100% to stable....
