I had looked at that a while back. It works better when you taken into account allowed hosts..
That does what I need it to do, thank you for pointing that back out!

NRPE Client Certificate Checks
This question is two-fold, with the other half perhaps more relevant on the NSClient forums. We use certificates with Nagios/NRPE/NSClient for a number of our systems (>150 or so) and I have records of when the certs were put into service on most of those. I was looking for a check like check_http w...

Re: Another - check_http Invalid option - SSL is not availab
There's my confusion.. I did but it's labeled as a patch.. Yast2 shouldn't let me patch it unless it's already present.. (I had a grep -v patch on the one above.) I've typically dealt with RH derived systems, need to get more familiar with Suse and yast.. I'll look more tomorrow. I pulled a copy of ...

Geez, it looks just like that. I swear I installed that via yast earlier too... I'll double check that.

Another - check_http Invalid option - SSL is not available
The fix isn't directly install openssl-devel. (Well, may be, but not quite) The OS is SLES 11 SP3 Gearing up to upgrade to Nagios 4.1.1 from 3.5 along with nagios-plugins, pnp4nagios, ect. Stepping through the process I've updated the plugins. Sadly I didn't note the version I came from (easy enough...

Re: enable_environment_macros not working in 4.0.4
So the issue is listed as corrected in 4.0.3. What I didn't see (or overlooked) in the report on bug 498 was that it appears everyone is running PNP4Nagios in Bulk mode. I've just finished correcting my install from synchronous to Bulk with NPCD and I appear to be getting historical graphing again. ...

Re: Need Immediate Email Notifications
You can also use the is_volatile option. Depending on how your environment is set up, I'd go for creating a new service template in the template.cfg. If everything is the same (check times, notification times, contacts) as another pre-exisintg check, you can configure it with the "use" opt...

Re: Question on Host Contact Permissions
A quick glance at the BPI option is pretty slick! I think that might be ideal for a couple of applications with cross system dependencies. I'll look more into that. Those outside our immediate group would primarily be application support. With limited exception, they would need access to only their ...
