Correct way to upgrade a switch
Good morning, I was wondering if there is an official guide for Nagios XI to see how to upgrade a switch in Nagios XI correctly. For example we have upgraded a switch in an IDF from a Cisco Catalyst 3750 to a 6500. The IP remained the same, but obviously the port for the uplink changed, so bandwidth...

Re: Bandwidth monitoring issues
I have been monitoring ports on that device. That's how I went through it: At first there was the initial device configuration with a gigabit port and VLAN being monitored for status and bandwidth. Now I wanted to add more devices to the monitoring, so I went through the wizard for the device, howev...

Bandwidth monitoring issues
Hello, I am experiencing trouble with my Nagios XI trial copy. A port (in this case an AP on a Cisco switch) is added through the Switch/Router wizard, and it shows up normally. However, when it starts checking it gives me the following message: "/var/lib/mrtg/<switchname>_299.rrd does not exis...

Re: Load issues
The hardware it's running on is a ESXi host on a Dell PowerEdge 2850, running ESXi 4.1.0, 4 CPUs x 2.793 GHz. The VM is "VM Version 7", 3 cores, 2048MB RAM. Mod Gearman sounds interesting, but for now I'd rather try to run on one VM. There are about 913 active checks going on in the next 5...

Load issues
I am currently running the evaluation version of Nagios XI, and we are experiencing a lot of alerts about local host being critical (CRITICAL - load average: 18.30 21.19 22.88). I used the pre-installed VMware image and I attached the installation profile. I already ran through this guide (http://as...
