Check low value of resource (check_nt)
Assuming that you want to know if your server works and you know it works if there almost 30% of ram used. Sometimes the applications crash and all the ram is free but I still see the applications running and I cannot figure out it was down. Can I use check_nt to monitor low memory use instead of hi...

Re: Collect logs from external host (over the internet)
Ok, I'll do some test... because I have some doubts about IP sender...
I don't know if the sender will be the local IP of the VM or the public IP of the gateway.
I am afraid about duplicate sender IP...
Thanks a lot.

Graziano.

Re: Expose NLS to internet
So, do you mean that SSL/TLS only encrypts the logs but does not avoid any sources to send logs over the port?
Is it right?

Graziano.

Re: Collect logs from external host (over the internet)
Benjamin, I have the opportunity to set up my network env as I desire. This is not the problem. I could configure my networks to ping or reach NLS from any internet location to any port. This is non a problem. From the guide I got the idea NLS was done for LAN env and not to permit traffic over inte...

Expose NLS to internet
If I would to expose my NLS to internet in order to capture logs from different geografical location, does SSL/TLS capture log guarantees anyone to send me logs through this channel/port (in example 7777) or does it only encrypt the traffic? I'm sorry but I cannot understand if I can use NLS in orde...

Collect logs from external host (over the internet)
I'd like to implement a cluster to collect logs form on-premise env and from on-cloud env. My on-cloud env has isolated LAN that can communicate only via internet. In example: we manage several subscription in Azure where every VM has an IP address external (public) and an internal (10.0.0.x). Can t...

Stuck in 5.7.5 with CentOS 6
I'm stucked in 5.7.5 version with CentOS 6 and I would migrate to CentOS 7. I would not fresh install a CentOS and then install NagiosXI. I'd prefer to download OVA from Nagios site. But from today the OVA comes with 5.8.0. Could I have the previous OVA with 5.7.5 in order to simply restore my bk?? ...

Re: Upgrade from 5.7.3 to latest
Where I can find the last OVA with 5.7.5 version on CentOS 7?
I am on CentOS 6 and I cannot move from 5.7.5...
With this OVA I could migrate with less pain otherwise I'd have to downgrade the 5.8.0 to 5.7.5 and restore the backup.

Graziano.
