If core cant read that format, then it is not of any good use to us. I'll point the archive directory to a NFS mount partition on the Nagios machine. Will that affect pulling any reports then.?

I was referring to old nagios logs that are saved under /usr/local/nagios/var/archives grep archives /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg log_archive_path=/usr/local/nagios/var/archives Reports from GUI like : Notifications for the past month or Availability report for a specific hostgroup for the past ...

Compressing Nagios archives
Is it possible to compress the Nagios archives logs. If we do, will we be able to view pull up old reports from GUI if archives are zipped.

We have recently enabled Nagios backups. But for some reason daily mysql backups under nagios dir are taking lot of space and are not zipped. I was able to recreate this issue on some hosts. I filed an internal bug report, and our developers will be looking into this as soon as they can. We will let you know when a fix is available. Will the repair require a downtime and how long the monitoring will be affected. We are monitoring several critical customer facing servers so we do not want this to affect our monitoring.

In core, I go to Summary on the left-> Under Custom reports-> Top Alert Producers -> Last 7 days -> filter by Class-Artemis ->Create summary report. Takes me to the following URL : [url]http://----%20Snip%20---/nagios/[/url] But the URL contains all the report I need. Attached mysqld logs

After that post we increased the values to 7 days for Max Log Entries Age, Max Notifications Age, Max State History Age. That's when we started getting Top Alert producers report. But when filtered to any hostgroup, we dont get anything showing 0 records.
