Re: Installing NRPE
Hi,
It seems that the problem is with the package. It looks like the URL has been changed or it was removed. That's why I posted it here.
I tried via a virtual machine and I got the same error.

Installing NRPE
Hi, I'm not sure if this would be the right place to post this, but here we go: I've tried to install nagios agent on Ubuntu by following this article . The problem is that when I type apt-get update, I get the following error: "Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/nagiosinc/ppa/ubuntu/dist...

Re: Special Characters in passwords
Just to add one more information: If I run the command from the remote server which is where the plugin is, it works: /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_fb.pl -u username@domain.com -p 'passwordWith!Mark' However, if I run the below command from the server, it won't work: /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_...

Re: Special Characters in passwords
Hi, I'm having this same issue. My password contains ! and I can't change it. I went to the /usr/local/nagios/etc/resource.cfg and added a $USER8$=password, but I'm not sure how I can use it. Is it possible to use it when I'm testing the command manually? I.e.: /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe -...

HTTP + Proxy
Hi, There's a server which I want to execute a check_http, however this server restricts HTTP access to a few IP addresses. If I run the check_http from the remote server, I get a "HTTP OK: HTTP/1.1 200 OK", but if I add a command to "/etc/nagios/nrpe.d/agent.cfg" and then call t...

Re: Uninstall Nagios Agent Ubuntu
slansing,
It was already = 1.
I've managed to make it work by adding a -a parameter to the nrpe command.
Thanks for your help,
Vilmondes

Re: Uninstall Nagios Agent Ubuntu
Hi tmcdonald, I had managed to do it before you reply, but I couldn't update this thread 'cause it hasn't been approved yet. However, there's something really odd happening. I have two Ubuntu remote servers where I have installed nagios-agent following the below link: http://assets.nagios.com/downlo...
