Error when adding service to servicegroup
Hi, I'm experiencing a strange error while trying to add a service to a servicegroup. I have Nagios XI 5.5.2 and Nagios Core 4.4.6 and mariadb 5.5.65. When adding new services to an existing service group nothing happens. The servicesgroup stays unmodified. Then I've found out that when adding 988 s...

Upgrade Nagios Core without upgrading XI
Hi,
I have Nagios XI 5.5.2 installed with Nagios Core 4.4.1.
Would it be safe to upgrade just Nagios Core to 4.4.6 without upgrading the Nagios XI?

Re: Some checks were not working
The issue is RESOLVED. It was not the issue in Nagios XI.
The developer acknowledged that it was the SNMP issue on the monitored host.
Audit Log was not enabled, and I enabled it. Thanks for this.

Re: Some checks were not working
Is there any method to look into audit log from console, not from GUI? Because we don't have Enterprise support.

Re: Some checks were not working
Hi,
Checked those logs and there are no reported states on the affected service during the "gap period". As if somebody disabled it for the period. Is there a way to check whether it was put in the Scheduled Downtime or Acknowledged/Disabled or something else?

Re: Some checks were not working
The host didn't have issues. There was issues in services related to the host. But not on the host. The host received less traffic than usual - and that was the issue that we needed to be alerted. But everything was working on the host itself. Other SNMP checks worked correctly on the same host with...

Re: Some checks were not working
Nothing suspicious in State History, just normal flow of events. And like on the graph, for the certain service there is a state change at 22:16 and the next one only next day at 15:20. Between 22:16 and 15:20 - there is a gap with no events. But in reality, there were events and we missed the accid...

Some checks were not working
Hi, Found strange behaviour of Nagios checks. For one host several checks were not working, as if disabled for several hours. The graph is in the attachment. Tried to find something in the Event Log, but nothing suspicious. The host has about 50 checks, only few of them not worked. All other hosts w...

Nagiox XI - physical or virtual?
Hi,
we currently consider moving our Nagios XI from our old physical HP server to something new.
What could be the criteria for choosing between the physical server and the virtual one (VMware)?
At the moment we have about 200 hosts and about 3000 services configured.
Thanks!

Re: Service doesn't enter HARD state.
Hi, I use 5.5.2. And don't have active support, so can't upgrade. Could you suggest a workaround, if the version is affected?
