Thanks for replying - in the end I rebuilt my Nagios instance from scratch but it's good to know this information for future use.

MySQL daemon already running
Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this but I'm having issues accessing Nagios XI. I'm running the Nagios XI (Latest Release) CentOS 6.5 VM via Virtualbox on a 10.9.1 MacMini. Everything was fine until I had to reboot the system. Now when I try to login to Nagios all I get is a blank scree...
