hi, Ok so now different message... On one of two server to monitor : ./check_nrpe -H localhost CHECK_NRPE: Error - Could not complete SSL handshake . I just want to use NRPE Daemon from init system and not xinetd. My nrpe.cfg file below on server to monitor : ########################################...

Hi,

All commands are failing.
the problem is that I configure all through GUI, so I think there is no problem with commands because done with VM nagios...

I configured :

SSH Server
MySQL Server
Load
CPU Stats
Apache Web Server

Nothing work.

To install and configure NRPE from sources : wget http://..... tar zxvf nrpe-2.12.tar.gz cd nrpe-2.12 ./configure make all make install This error message appears only in /var/log/message , not when I use specific command.. I confirm I tested with -n option. Just a bad copy/paste

CHECK_NRPE: Error receiving data from daemon.
Without option :

I read this doc but not solved my problem :s
I compiled NRE with SSL (first install, libssl-dev was missing).

Strange, but result is not the same with -n option...
