Nagios and Cacti
Hi Folks, I found the following document which outlined Nagios and cacti working on the same server: http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagiosxi/docs/Installing_Cacti_Alongside_XI.pdf Is this relevant for Nagios CORE also, or only Nagios XI? Im looking to create a fresh fully up to date instance of ...

Issues with node
Hi Folks, I have two nodes which i think are pretty much identical, but one of them seems to be failing all checks. When i do a tcpdump on Nagios i only see traffic leaving for one of the nodes, the working one obviously. So would lead me to believe its a config problem with creation of node. I like...

Re: Kerberos commands from Nagios
cheers slansing...
i guess i understand Kerberos from a windows perspective, which requires machines are part of the ticketing process, and up and running on the domain.
should i assume the same for my nagios server.. for the 'check_kdc' to work?

Kerberos commands from Nagios
Hi, I am trying to create a command on my nagios server which will check web access via my proxy environment, using kerberos. I found the below KB articles.. would they suitable to work from? the second of the two seems more descriptive, but is 6 years old.. so possibly not relevant!! I suppose im m...

Re: Nagios Basics
I suppose my question simplified is.. whats the best way to make an exact copy of a host, including commands etc, without running into the above issues.
