Re: Need some help configuring a specific plugin
It appears I somehow am missing the check_nrpe plugin. I get the same response as my previous post when I point it to the right folder. One other thing, do I have to specify the nrpe port in each NSClient config file like I do for check_nt? Thanks! Edit: Found it. Somehow it ended up in /usr/lib/nag...

Re: Would greatly appreciate some help configuring notificat
Awesome! That worked! I still have to test the reboot, but at least I have something to stand on now. I was able to get mail to come through using the command prompt. Nagios notifications still aren't showing up, but that's because I reconfigured the send command earlier. I'm going to revert back to...

Re: Would greatly appreciate some help configuring notificat
Alright, managed to figure out that sendmail is still listening on port 25 (it actually says 127.0.0.1:25, why does sendmail have the localhost?). What I don't understand now, is how sendmail is still present? I did apt-get purge sendmail before I installed postfix because I was worried about confli...

Re: Would greatly appreciate some help configuring notificat
Yes, I see that message when checking the mail queue. Alright, so I did telnet localhost 25 and everything worked just fine. I got no errors. However, when I stopped postfix and started it while watching the log, I did see something interesting: *timestamp* SERVERNAME postfix/master[MISC PORT]: fata...

Re: Would greatly appreciate some help configuring notificat
So I followed your advice in adding a transport file with my smtp server's info and I'm still unable to get notifications. One interesting thing is that when I bring up the mail queue, at the top it says: postqueue: warning: Mail system is down -- accessing queue directly Not sure if this is normal,...

Re: Need some help configuring a specific plugin
The above command returns:
You said nrpe uses a different port? In the NSClient config file on each server I had to specify a port under the allowed hosts. I only supplied one port. Could that be a problem?
Code: Select all
-bash: ./check_nrpe: No such file or directory

Re: Need some help configuring a specific plugin
Hey thank you for the reply. For your first point, I added the underscore. For your second point, I added the exclamation marks. I'm still getting the "is not defined anywhere!" error. One thing I should mention, this command seems to use nrpe. I'm not entirely sure what that is. I've been...

Re: Would greatly appreciate some help configuring notificat
Alright, so it fails on the telnet. I get: Trying 74.125.131.27 Trying 2607:f8b0:400c:c03:1a... telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Network is unreachable Edit: Alright so I was able to do a bit more troubleshooting. I was able to telnet to our company SMTP server from my Nagios machine, and I...

Need some help configuring a specific plugin
Hi all! So to begin, I'm trying to use this plugin: http://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Plugins/Operating-Systems/Windows-NRPE/Check-Active-Directory-Accounts/details So far, I've installed the .ps1 script in the NSClient++/scripts directory, changed the AD execution policy, defined my command in t...
