I can log into http://serverIP/nagios and I get a Nagios Core interface.

It seems something is missing..

I installed the NagiosXI VM and when I go to the IP of our server I get the Welcome Screen and when I click the Access Nagios XI link, I get a white screen

Any idea what is going on?

Thanks! I asked because I loaded the VM and there was a bunch of stuff starting that is not needed. May I request that the VM appliance be trimmed down to only include the software that is needed so the average-to-non Linux admin doesn't have/leave stuff running that takes up resources and does noth...

What daemons are not needed with the VM systems?
My server seems to get hung on starting CUPS and sendmail and sm-client.... Does Nagios need CUPS? Prolly needs sendmail to relay to our mail server...

What can be turned off?

Do you have any sort of document that sets through the initial setup of the VM appliance?

Thank you for looking into this for us. I t looks like drbd might be the most viable solution for true failover. The VM vmotion would still be a total manual effort.
