Re: Monitor Windows bandwidth
We're working on adding an SNMP option to the Window monitoring wizard. We've had a few clients that have monitored their Windows boxes this way, so it should be doable. Patrick Proy has a plugin that looks like it might be able to monitor bandwidth usage on the Windows NIC via SNMP - see http://nag...

Re: Linux Host Monitoring
Login to the Nagios Core Config Manager and see if there are multiple xi_default_contact definitions. There shouldn't be, but it sounds like an extra one is being defined there. You can download a config file snapshot of the latest error when you're in the Admin menu. If you send it to us at xi@naig...

Re: Nagios XI or Cacti for bandwidth statistics?
Its really a matter of preference. Some people prefer to use Cacti for SNMP monitoring and performance graphs. The perf graphs in XI should basically be the same, as similar data is being monitoring and graphed. Most people we've spoken with prefer just using Nagios, as the two tools have many overl...

Re: "No performance graphs were found for this host."
Thanks for the screenshots. As you can see in the first screenshot, the "Performance Data" line is blank. That means there isn't any data for the graphing tool to generate an RRD file. It seems like the check_snmp_load.pl plugin doesn't support performance data. If you know the OID for get...

Re: Date format wrong
Hi John - I tested various screens and it looks like the date/time format option worked okay. What version of Nagios XI are you running? Some early release candidates used the native Nagios Core CGIs to display host/service information and didn't format the date/time according to preference. Recent ...

Re: Nagios showing blank page.
Is sounds like you installed Nagios Core - is that correct?
If so, SELinux might need to be disabled. Check the Nagios Core quickstart guide for Fedora for instructions on fixing this.

Re: VMware installer only?
We officially distribute XI as a virtual machine to simplify support relating to installation. If you require installation to a physical machine, we can provide instructions on how to do this. Send us an email at sales@nagios.com

Re: "No performance graphs were found for this host."
This indicates that the underlying graphing software (PNP) was unable to find an performance data that could be graphed. This might mean that the plugin either doesn't produce performance data, or that the data doesn't conform to the plugin guidelines. You can see what performance data (if any) is b...

Re: SNMP problem - No data received from host
Its looks like your command should have $ARG2$ at the end, instead of $ARG1$. Change it, restart Nagios core, and see if the problem goes away.
