Re: Nagios Auto-Discovery displays wrong hostnames
Hi, litsupport.box- Thanks for your response, I'll check it out. Before purchasing Nagios XI, I've downloaded and installed Nagios XI Trial and when I ran the auto-discovery tool there everything worked as intended... I wonder why it doesn't work with the paid version. I've specified specifically to...

Nagios Auto-Discovery displays wrong hostnames
Hi, i'm using Nagios XI auto discovery wizard, I've set up a scanning job for my network 10.24.26.0/24 and it found 39 hosts, I've used the next settings: http://oi62.tinypic.com/2ugzd5i.jpg In the next screen, all hosts are getting the name "Netgear WAP" instead of the real dns name, as y...

How does the auto-discovery work?
How does the auto-discovery tool in Nagios XI works? When I supply a network ID to run on, let's say 10.10.182.0/24 . it finds many Microsoft Windows machines as well as Linux servers. I wanted to know how it works... Can I supply a root/administrator password to the NagiosXI and expect it to connec...

Auto-Discover job stuck?
Hi,
I've installed the trial version of Nagios-XI on a clean install of CentOS 6.
I've set an auto-discovery job on my local network, but it seems like it's taking too much time and showing no progress... can it be stuck?

Thanks
Itai

Re: ./fullinstall fails
Hi, It seems like indeed there was a problem with one of the repo's, I've fixed that and manually installed centos-release-cr, then ran ./fullinstall again but it failed again on dependencies... Link to the install.log: http://pastebin.com/UsAiRm7H I could probably start installing the required pack...

Re: ./fullinstall fails
Hi, If there was a network problem I would get an error but seems like a normal response: [root@nagiosv01 nagiosxi]# curl http://repo.nagios.com/nagios/6/repodata/repomd.xml <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <repomd xmlns="http://linux.duke.edu/metadata/repo" xmlns...

./fullinstall fails
Hi, I've downloaded the Nagios XI in order to test if it fits my organization needs. I've installed a fresh virtual machine with CentOS 6.5 (base) and placed the Nagios-XI.tar.gz in /opt folder, unzipped it and entered the unzip directory. Next, I ran ./fullinstall It started adding repositories to ...
