Re: Backup snapshots disappeared
- When we add new instances in the same cluster, the backup is automatically assigned to them as it is in the first instance or do we have to do it manually each time? I did it manually in the 2nd instance and in Backup snapshots list I get "Created / Name (Click )" and instead of the nam...

Re: Static data is missing
I have verified the following: * When nxlog is started and it has been assigned a file, it begins processing at the bottom of the log file, not the beginning. * When a new log entry appears, nxlog processes it. * A document can be re-parsed by changing your configuration in accordance with the follo...

Re: Log data is incorrectly displayed on the dashboard
1. On my first question I meant to say if it is possible to cut/paste screen prints directly into the Reply section without attaching the document. I have tried it and it did not work. Therefore, I am attaching the screen print of the dashboard for my second question Understood. The only way to add...

Re: Integration with nagios XI - same server
Correct - they are two different products and should be acquired separately. Nagios Log Server does have a free 60-day trial if you're interested: https://www.nagios.com/products/nagios-log-server/I see that it is a completely seperate product, the key must be adquired separated too?

Re: Log data is incorrectly displayed on the dashboard
I have one question: what is the importance of the escaping and explain the reason it started to work when you updated the filter with " characters needed escaping. As I have indicated the grok debugger was parsing message correctly with and without the escape character and only when it went t...

Re: Precise and complete syntax of queries & filters ???
I'm a new users, and I have search in vain for an explanation of the query and filter syntax in Nagios Log Server. Ideally, I'd like both the syntax and a comprehensive list of examples. Please read through the following write-up regarding queries versus filters in the dashboard: First, what is the...

Re: Log data is incorrectly displayed on the dashboard
It is worth noting that only logs that enter Nagios Log Server after the filter has been applied will be impacted by the filter. Looking at the document you provided, the failing logs are from 03-04, are you certain that new logs are still being impacted by this problem? I ran a few test simulations...
