Re: Recovery notifications sent without problem notification

We went and built a new test system from scratch with nagios core 4.4.2, NagiosXI 5.5.4, However before I spend time setting up the rest of the test, I don't think the patches are in this core version. Nagios core 4.4.2 was released on Aug 16 per: https://www.nagios.org/projects/nagios-core/history/...

Re: Recovery notifications sent without problem notification

It looks like the recovery is sent even if the issue/recovery occur during a scheduled downtime. Also the change in: https://github.com/NagiosEnterprises/nagioscore/commit/5c984585d1ce9786c4b793c9f63b03a2a1740509 referenced in the github ticket would seem to apply only to host checks since it is in ...

Re: Recovery notifications sent without problem notification

Thanks for putting in the bug report on it. When can I expect this to be triaged and worked?

I was expecting that it would be assigned yesterday.

My boss wants to get some sort of ETA on the fix for this issue as it is blocking our rollout of the newer version of nagios.

Thanks.

Recovery notifications sent without problem notification

Environment: Nagios XI 5.5.1, Centos 7.5.1804 Problem: A host goes into an unreachable state or a service goes into an unknown state. The contacts for the service/host are not notified because the service/host notification options do not include these states (unknown/unreachable). When the host or s...

Re: Unable to see dashboard with valid id in URL

@jrouilla This should work however it needs to be noted that the dashboard ID rok38mnb is a specific ID for a specific user. In certain situations the ID is shared, if the dashboard was shared, but usually the ID will only work for the logged in user. It would be best to login as the user you want,...

Re: Unable to see dashboard with valid id in URL

Hello dwhitfield: One thing you could do is set up the dashboards for a dashboard-only account and set that account to auto-login. Well this same setup is working with other nagios servers and has worked flawlessly for months. We have no updates to the nagios software or database that occurred befor...

Re: Unable to see dashboard with valid id in URL

Hi dwhitfield: It looks like my response to this was discarded by the moderator so I'll try again hopefully with better luck. This is the part that is strange to me. Normally the backend URLs would look something like the following: https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagiosxi/docs/Accessing_The_XI_...

Unable to see dashboard with valid id in URL

Hi Everybody: I have a weird situation. Given the URL https://server/nagiosxi/dashboards/dashboard.php?id=rok38mnb&username=myuser&ticket=a_valid_ticket_from_the_backend_url_component sometime in the past couple of days this stopped working. The ticket is valid for the user. The error that i...
