Re: New Node, logstash no config files

Sorry for the double post, but I think I found it! I briefly mentioned changing some patterns. When I did that I created a new file in the patterns folder so as not to modify the ones installed with nagios in case they were updated/refreshed in an upgrade. This time I noticed a new log entry: {:time...

Re: New Node, logstash no config files

So I updated the cluster_hosts, it now appears like this on all the hosts: [root@nagioslogserver-1 ~]# cat /usr/local/nagioslogserver/var/cluster_hosts localhost 10.10.20.77 10.10.20.78 10.10.20.79 However I'm still seeing the 3rd server using loopback in the nodes view: [root@nagioslogserver-1 ~]# ...

Re: New Node, logstash no config files

Sorry for the delay, we were out due to the holidays. Here is the cluster Status screenshot (sorry for the huge size): Screen Shot 2016-01-04 at 3.11.46 PM.png [root@nagioslogserver-1 logstash]# curl 'localhost:9200/_cluster/health?level=indices&pretty' { "cluster_name" : "5e7bce8...

New Node, logstash no config files

We've had our cluster running for a good part of the year with 2 nodes. We noticed the 1.3.0 upgrade and ran it on the two nodes. We then decided to add a 3rd node by downloading a fresh OVA of 1.3.0 from the Nagios Site. Upon adding it to the cluster the logstash service refuses to start, this is i...

Re: Logstash failing after 2.2 upgrade

In a moment of desperation I tried re-enabling shard allocation. That appears to have fixed it. I'm seeing my index grow for today, and my charts are displaying some data again. I just hope I didn't lose about half a days data. I'm pretty unhappy about this, as the update documentation states the fo...

Re: Logstash failing after 2.2 upgrade

When tailing the elastic search log, and loading the main page on one of the nodes this is what I get: [2015-09-15 07:39:38,767][DEBUG][action.search.type ] [15e63c11-7888-4139-8d1d-66b8096a8869] All shards failed for phase: [query] org.elasticsearch.action.NoShardAvailableActionException: [logstash...

Logstash failing after 2.2 upgrade

I updated our 2.1 cluster to 2.2 yesterday, and all appeared to be going well at first, although after a couple hours my cluster still hadn't gone back to green, it was yellow after the update. The only step I didn't get to was re-enabling shard allocation since the docs say to wait until the cluste...

Re: 2015r2.0 LDAP woes

I'm also seeing this, and neither the Full Name nor the AD username is being populated. When this is fixed can it pull the Display Name in AD for the Full Name in Log Server?

Re: Can't Save Imported Dashboard

We are on 2015R1.3. Of course we can save in Firefox also, but no other browsers. Since we tend to only use Firefox for troubleshooting purposes that makes this a pretty annoying bug. Many of our users use Safari or Chrome as their daily driver browser. I just updated to Firefox 36.0.4 and while you...

Re: Can't Save Imported Dashboard

We are currently piloting an instance of Log Server and have also seen this issue. In Safari 8.0.3 when we import a dashboard the save icon is greyed out, and the icons to save are missing from the drop down next to the save icon. Hitting enter does nothing. In Firefox (36.0.1 tested) visually it is...
