Re: Scheduling queue freezes
Queue looks fine, and our dev said he found nothing of note in the retention.dat. If you are comfortable patching and recompiling Core, we have a patch that will add in some debug logging for the Compensating messages. I have attached it here, let us know if you need assistance. I patched it and re...

Re: Scheduling queue freezes
This might be related to an NDO bug that was fixed in recent versions. What is the output of ipcs -q on your Nagios system? ------ Message Queues -------- key msqid owner perms used-bytes messages 0x68010002 65536 nagios 600 16384 16 0xc3013798 131073 nagios 600 16384 16

Re: Scheduling queue freezes
Unfortunately the scheduling queue froze again yesterday. I will leave it in this state in case you want to look at some files while the scheduling is not working.

Re: Scheduling queue freezes
Haven't gotten an answer from our Dev yet, but with the holidays we haven't been in the office much until this week. In the meantime though, did you ever find out if anything was happening on the network when this occurs? Backups, scans, updates, reboots, anything that might cause some interruption...

Re: Scheduling queue freezes
When it freezes, is the cpu usage high? About once a month the scheduling queue freezes and even restarting nagios does not resolve it, I also have to delete retention.dat. Send us a copy of the retention.dat. If deleting it resolves it, there might be something in there to point me to where the pr...

Re: Scheduling queue freezes
First of all a 1500 seconds time deviation is not normal for ntp. We agree, jolson mentioned this above. Second, why would nagios stop processing the scheduled queue after a time change? Nagios uses in-memory timestamps to determine when the next checks should be run, notifications be sent, etc. Wh...
