Re: Change Root Password

The message I am getting after this command :

htpasswd –c /usr/local/nagios/etc/htpasswd.users nagiosadmin

is:

"If 'htpasswd' is not a typo you can use command-not-found to lookup the package that contains it. like this: cnf htpasswd"

Thanks for the password site.

Change Root Password

Hello,

I am trying to change the root password and I have used the command :

htpasswd –c /usr/local/nagios/etc/htpasswd.users nagiosadmin

But I am getting an error saying something about htpasswd being a typo. Any suggestions? I am on Ubuntu using CORE 4.0.4

Backup Host Configurations ???

I have a question regarding whether Nagios can back-up configurations from hosts such as a Cisco switch? If so what would I need to edit within the Nagios Core server. I understand I can configure a Cisco switch to back-up its own configurations to a tftp, but I was wondering is Nagios capable of th...

Re: Editing Host Name and IP HELP ???

Fixed... That is what was happening is that the host device i edited than left errors to associated deices that needed editing. Once all associated devices had been edited it fired back up... Thx guys, first time in Nagios so thanks for bearing with me.
