I'm not sure how to do that, I have found an identical post to mine from a while back though, but the final response seems wrong to me. https://support.nagios.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4741 since what is suggested here would delete the service completely and thus remove it from the template ...

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear.
I have a template with a few services, this template is inherited by a whole bunch of servers. The issue is i need to disable a few of these services from specific servers without affecting every server that inherits the service via the template.

Issue is fixed, I forgot to change the protocol settings in Global CCM as outlined towards the end of page 3 of this doc https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... s%20XI.pdf

Changed the metrics as outlined in KB, still no luck, I did notice the following in the log though. WARNING: certificate common name “XXXXX.XXXXXXX.ca” doesn't match requested host name “localhost”. The fqdn is entered correctly in /etc/hosts as far as I can tell and everything else works correctly....
