I was curious if there is a way to configure a check in Nagios to verify if Magento site users can "Add items to cart", and will alert when items are not being added to cart.

I've done all of those steps in that documentation already BUT it looks like I installed the wrong nagios-plugin version.

Went ahead and installed the correct one indicated in the document you shared, didn't seem resolved until I rebooted CentOS and we're looking great now!
