What happens when you stop the service on the Windows server? Does it still report invalid password? Do you have a file in the NSClient++ directory called boot or boot.ini ? If yes, what are the contents. the report show a grey status. the NSCLIENT++ have a boot.ini this is: [settings] 1=ini://${ex...

rkenndy I did! I really did! and nothing happends what about install all over again? bith maybe the last version of nagios? actually I have the nagios3 if I don't get wrong.

If NSC.ini also exists, then it sounds like the new version is still referencing the old file. I would: Uninstall any versions of NSClient++ through Add/Remove Programs Delete these directories if they exist: "C:\Program Files\NSClient++" "C:\Program Files (x86)\NSClient++" Then...

Is there an NSC.ini file as well? I attach it again. can you check it I want to go back to this. You uploaded an nsclient.ini file however my questions is to check if there is a NSC.ini file in the same directory? It's very important that you look for this specific file. yes is in the same directory.

I did it and the result is the same still says "invalid password" . I compare the configuration with and old copy of nagios from my backups ( virtual machine ) and works without problem. could be this error about a SSL key or something like that?
