Hi all - I am looking to add a shortcut to my alert emails that when clicked will initiate an ssh session from Putty or a CMD prompt (on a windows system) to the host that alerted. Anyone doing something similar and like to share how?
Thanks,

PHP 7.4+ on Centos 7.
Hi all - I'm running my XI servers on Centos 7, which maxes out PHP at v5.4. I need to update to 7.4+ as part of an IT mandate. I see a common upgrade/update method is Remi-PHP. I work for an org that requires approval for third party software such as this so I am looking at other methods. The only ...

Max Check Attempts vs First Notification Delay?
Hi all - I'm having a hard time understanding the "First Notification Delay" setting. Using traditional Check Interval, Retry, and Max Attempt settings (5,1,5)... Would setting the First Notification Delay to 10 result in the same email delay as it would setting Max Check Attempts to 10? I...

log4j and Nagios agents.
I see that folks have already created log4j threads regarding Nagios XI.
Can anyone from Nagios Support provide input as to whether any of the 'agents' are affected by the log4j vuln?
(nrpe, nsca, nsclient, etc. etc.)
Thank you!

Database optimization causing application hangs.
Hello Nagios Support, I've got an XI server here (5.8.3 on Centos 7) with 1,200 Hosts and 11,000 Services. Over the last week I have been troubleshooting Nagios UI hangs or freezes. Checked obvious things like cpu load, memory usage, etc. Nothing stood out besides some iowait spiking in the yellow/r...

API - retrieve list of Hosts with specific Contact
Hello Nagios Support, As part of an automation project, I am trying to retrieve a list of Hosts which use a specific Contact. I am able to get the necessary info using a GET config/host request, and parse the data. However, we hit a problem with the Hosts that use the + (append) option in the Contac...

Host and Service check Latency after upgrade from 5.6 to 5.7
Hello Nagios Support - I recently upgraded an XI server from 5.6.14 to 5.7.3. I noticed rather quickly that the system is more susceptible to Host Check Latency and Service Check Latency. I've run into problems with Host/Service Latency in the distance past on long lost versions of XI - so I am moni...
