Re: Dynamic ActionURL
Thanks, but unless I'm missing something, it doesn't seem to have a macro available for service arguments (i.e $ARG1$, $ARG2$ etc), right??

Dynamic ActionURL
Hi,
Is it possible to set dynamic ActionURL that will take certain values from the Arguments of the same alarm (eg $ARG1$)?
e.g https://nagiosxi/views/script.php?argum ... ent2=$ARG2$
Thanks

Re: Automating the creation of new alarms on Nagios XI
Thanks. My concern about using the passive checks to Nagios is that whenever it runs the script to adds a new host or service, it would need to restart the Nagios service. What worries me the most is that if there are several issues on the network and lots of new syslog messages are received at the ...

So Basically this is our scenario: We have multiple network devices (mix of Juniper and Cisco) that are sending syslog messages of to our Nagios Log Server. I have configured both inputs and filters to parse the logs properly into separate fields. I have also configured NLS to analyse Nagios XI logs...

User Permissions
Hi, We are currently evaluating this product and have the following query. Is it possible to allow users to access only logs generated from particular sources/devices? This is a very important feature as we would like certain users to have access only to the logs generated by their systems. To give ...

Re: Get List of contact groups for service/host
Thanks. It would really be useful to have such functionality to determine if the right people can view the alarm being shown.

Get List of contact groups for service/host
Hi, Is there a way to view all the contact groups that can view a particular alarm in the status detail page. The servicegroups and hostgroups that the service/hosts are part of, are already being shown. I could not find a way to add this even by using the backend cmds Is there a way to accomplish t...

Re: Nagios XI - Adding contactgroups to hostgroups
Thanks for the reply. It might be a very useful feature to have as it is common to assign contacts/contactgroups to particular group of hosts like we are able to do with services. Once can also use the bulk modification, but this overwrites the current configuration and so it is not the ideal soluti...

Nagios XI - Adding contactgroups to hostgroups
Hi,
Is there an easy way in Nagios XI to assign different contactgroups to existing hostgroups?
I know that one can use host templates and then assign contactgroups to that template, but like that one has to create a template for every hostgroup and it is kind of confusing.
Thanks
