Let's start with host/service Brocade 1600/Ping, you have it defined as the host check via template and as a seperate object. Is this the same for your others?

There is nothing that would natively do this, and if you tried to use something like an Apache configuration or firewall connection to accomplish it then you would need to account for all the backend logins.

What is the real problem you are trying to solve?

No, there is no built in way to do that. You can find how the plugin is defined in /usr/local/nagios/etc/commands.cfg and compares those findings against the values in /usr/local/nagios/etc/services.

Can you provide the full query you are using? Does the ncpa log reveal anything if verbose is set to debug?

I've gotten it install correctly using 12.2 when following the doc adjusted accordingly, but the document needs to be followed rigorously. I don't know if it actually works with 12.2 however as we don't have anything to test against.
