Upgrade underlying OS and migrating data
We're in the process of upgrading the OS from RHEL 6 to RHEL 7. Our current version of NagiosXI is 5.7.5 and we want to install 5.7.5 on our new RHEL7 server via RPM, but I've noticed the only RPM in the repo is 5.8. Is there a way we can get 5.7.5 via RPM? We're not sure how safe it would be to mig...
API Calls
I have configured an API call to disable/enable active checks once a shutdownstart or shutdownend alert notification is triggered. Everything was working fine until I manually reenabled active checks for one of the servers. Now the API won't disable the active check for that server, but it still wor...

Re: Can I make an API call to another app when downtime star
Here's what we're seeing in the logs when downtime is kicked off. It's calling a notification handler, not our even handler. [1616677995] HOST DOWNTIME ALERT: server.domain.com;STARTED; Host has entered a period of scheduled downtime [1616677995] HOST NOTIFICATION: username;server.domain.com;DOWNTIM...

Re: Can I make an API call to another app when downtime star
benjaminsmith, I'm on mlangkau's team. I'm trying to get this working but when I put the server in downtime, it doesn't seem to trigger my event handler. Any ideas? Below is my event handler command. The command is a python script trying to grab the contents of the notification types $DOWNTIMESTART$...

support ticket and privacy
I wasn't sure where to post this so figured I'd try here. I'm curious why information I put in a support ticket through the 'Customer support' forum is visible through a google search. In previous posts I've been asked to include log information which may include host names and I've done so assuming...

I've created a support ticket. I think the number is #355825. I've also uploaded our Nagios profile.
Thank you,

Re: Update to 5.5.3 Crashes
We have a company policy of not publishing detailed information publicly. Is there another way I can get this information to you (email, sftp, something)?
Thank you,

Re: Update to 5.5.3 Crashes
We just updated to 5.5.4 to see if that would help. You had mentioned earlier you wanted to see our config--how do I provide that?
Thanks,

Re: Update to 5.5.3 Crashes
I did find memory errors in the *rror_logs, so I increased 'memory_limit' to 512g, but we're still seeing the issues. Below is an example of Nagios running processes: I'll try the database repair now. Thank you, nagios 2375 1 0 Sep23 ? 00:00:00 /usr/local/nagios/bin/nrpe -c /usr/local/nagios/etc/nrp...
