Re: Duration data changed from 600 days to couple of minutes
Host and service statuses are save in status.dat and have this line: last_state_change=1592405603 where the number is the time of the last change. You can modify this and restart the nagios server and it should display the date/time you change it to. Thank you for the suggestion. Will this cause an...

Duration data changed from 600 days to couple of minutes
I have a service that was experiencing a problem since 600+ days and was in WARNING state. Today we did some network changes that caused the plugin to fail and return UNKNOWN status for the service. Due to this the duration of the alert has now changed from 600+ days to a few minutes. Is there any w...

Re: Do not show alert except after all 5 attempts
Unfortunately that functionality doesn't exist, you can create a feature request for it here if you'd like: https://github.com/NagiosEnterprises/nagioscore/issues It would require extensive changes in the code to not show soft states or show soft states as green throughout the system and make it a ...

Do not show alert except after all 5 attempts
Hi, Currently if the plugin returns a non OK status, an alert shows up on the web interface in the soft state (1/5 or 2/5 etc) Is it possible to configure the checks such that they do not show up in the web interface except after all 5 tries ? The reason why this may be important is that in a large ...

Host and service alerts on the same page
Hi,
Is it possible to have host and service alerts on the same status page ?
I intend to disable service checks if any particular host is down, but this can cause us to miss out on a host down as we keep the status.cgi open at all times and it only shows service alerts.
Thanks,
Termcap

Re: Check Freshness does not work as expected
Hi,
1. I checked there is a '_' after passive, I copied the text incorrectly.
2. passive check logging is already enabled, but I can't any 'stale' logs for the service in question.
3. Yep, restarted nagios many times over

Nagios integration via BacNet.
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has done Nagios integration via bacnet ? Bacnet is a protocol that is used for BMS systems like lifts, fire alarms etc.
Bacnet functions quite like SNMP, where each device (fire alarm, UPS) has an identifier and a return status.
Thanks,
Termcap.

Re: Nagios stops running checks after reload
The issue is not resolved, I just wrote a bash script to monitor Nagios temporarily. Is there an ongoing bug for this problem or should I raise one on github ?kyang wrote:Great to hear!
