Re: Nagios XI and RHEL 6

Also, on the same system, the nrpe agent refuses to install as well.
output:
el6.i686 is not currently supported. Please use CentOS 5 or RHEL 5 (el5) instead.

Re: Nagios XI and RHEL 6

This is what was sent to me by sales: Skip running 0-yum. Install the *EL6* version of EPEL. Don't do anything for RPMForge (so far). Manually touch install.yum to simulate runningthat script. Run the rest of fullinstall as usual. Yum install rrdtool-perl (this is the only dependency I've found so f...

Re: Nagios XI and RHEL 6

Is there an actual guide for this? Even with what the sales person gave me for instructions, they're very vague and already are not valid. Can you point me to some legit documentation for doing this? Is there any?

Re: Nagios XI and RHEL 6

Thanks for the update. I'll test this out in rhel 6. As for the other question, I had assumed (very probably incorrectly) that there was a free version, not a trial version, of Nagios XI. If this is the case, what benefits are gained by paying for Nagios XI as opposed to using the free version? I se...

Nagios XI and RHEL 6

Just had a couple of quick questions in regards to Nagios XI and rhel 6. I was told by sales that rhel6 is supported for Nagios XI (server side) and got the instructions for setting this up. The sales rep however was unable to tell me if the nrpe agent (remote server monitoring side) is supported by...
