You're probably already aware, but the current version of NCPA contains a version of python which is affected by some recently published CVEs.

Just wanted to say that this 100% fixed the issue - since I've cleaned out /var/spool/snmptt the command file has been free of these SNMP messages, and the log files have been clean of these errors also.

Yes, you are correct, the messages seemed to be stored in /var/spool/snmptt

I've stopped the SNMP service, cleared out that folder, then restarted. Hopefully this sorts it.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

I don't use External Commands, so may be easier to just disable them.

Do you know if there's any way I can see what's writing to the external command file?
I've looked for a log, but can't find one.

Hi Everyone, I'm running Nagios XI 5.11.3, and I seem to have some command stuck in the External Command File. I noticed that the messages file in /var/log is growing, eating up disk space, and when I look in it it's full of the same messages. I think they're related to SNMP traps being processed to...

5.5.3 installed yesterday evening, and it appears to have fixed the issue.
