Scheduled job to enable all notifications
I would like to provide more of our Nagios XI users access to acknowledge alerts, but with that access comes the ability to disable notifications. Rather than implement a custom Javascript to remove that option entirely, I'd like to allow them to use that feature for short-term use with the understa...

Re: Notify on warning but show as OK (or hide) in dashboards
Thank you for the information. I suspected this might be the case. We'll just have to try to get people to update their certs sooner!

Notify on warning but show as OK (or hide) in dashboards?
I'm wondering whether I can configure a service to notify when it reaches the warning threshold but to otherwise report as OK when viewing the service within Nagios XI? Here is the use case, so maybe someone can provide a recommendation. This is for SSL cert expiration monitoring. We have two monito...

Re: Hidden recurring downtime
As a follow up, I found a Nagios XI bug. When using a wildcard, as it says you can use (and it does work), the service will no longer display in the Services tab in Recurring Downtime. Here was the problem config. Removing the wildcard character immediately resolved the issue without restarting anyt...

[Bug] Recurring downtime with wildcard not visible
Hello, I recently upgraded to 5.6.5 from 5.5.? and I'm noticing an issue with recurring downtime. It is possible this issue may have existed before the upgrade and I'm just now noticing it. I have a CPU usage monitor on a specific Windows server that is scheduled for recurring downtime each night fo...

Re: Some notifications not firing after upgraded to 5.5.1
No, the hosts were left operational. I literally just picked a random service from a random host that was previously sending email notifications days before to test. The other service I tested was the one that I mentioned that was down recently when another related host (a shared database server) wa...

Re: Some notifications not firing after upgraded to 5.5.1
There is clearly an issue after checking the event log. Here is a service that sends notifications properly and is configured identically from what I can see: SERVICE ALERT: Baubo;Svc - Apache Tomcat 8;OK;HARD;1;Tomcat8=running (auto) SERVICE ALERT: Baubo;Svc - Apache Tomcat 8;CRITICAL;HARD;5;critic...

Some notifications not firing after upgraded to 5.5.1
Last night we had a host and a service on another host go down and did not receive notifications for them from Nagios XI. I only found out about them because of another host that was affected in which case Nagios XI sent the notifications like it should have. I checked at the time and they were defi...
