Yes. I was able to update so the issue has been resolved.

Ignorant question: Would I have been able to perform previous updates successfully if the server was behind a proxy? I only ask because nothing has changed with this server since the last update.

I commented out the file you told me, but apparently there was another (see below).
After commenting those lines, I ran yum update and this was the result.

I updated the file as instructed and these were the results.

no dice.

Those commands completed without error.

See error received. It's running on CentOS. Not sure if that matters.
