No problem, I'll stick with the standard VM. I discovered that Notepad++ with the NppFTP plugin will edit files on a Nagios VM without a problem, and WinSCP and Putty should do everything else I need.

What are some pros and cons for a CentOS install of XI vs using a standard VM? Obviously a Nagios VM is up and running immediately, but installing on CentOS would give me a GUI text editor for modifying scripts etc along with other potentially useful tools.
