API for Recurring Downtime
Looking for an easy way to dump the Recurring Downtime for all Hosts on all XI's. Need Day, Start Time, End Time and Host. Checked the supplied API's but don't supply recurring downtime info. Assuming that's in a different table or database. Unless it's in a file that I could download and create a C...

Re: How do I not alert on Socket timeout after 30 seconds.
Added the "-u" to the check_nrpe script via the XI CCM screen. Almost immediately things started going to an "unknown" status. But, only for our Linux servers. Windows still issued the Critical for socket timeouts and connection refused message. SERVER01 (Windows) CPU Usage Criti...

Re: NSClient Not Working
Did as you suggested and got nothing in the log. There isn't any NATing going on inside our network. Weird situation. Especially when it works from the Test XI and not the Prod XI. For Memory and Disk but CPU works on both!! [nagios@TESTXI ~]$ /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nt -H SERVERIP -s "...

Re: Upgrade via GUI hangs.
We tried once before shortly after purchasing Nagios. The GUI upgrade failed then as well, due to permissions. We were in a hurry to get the upgrade in place to fix issues so we didn't pursue the problem but used the line command instead. We once again need to upgrade to fix certain issues but have ...

Re: Could not parse JSON
Thanks for the idea, however I don't think it applies in this situation. Some of the JSON errors are coming out at Midnight, 3am and other hours of the night. No one would be in the system making changes at those times. As a matter of fact we rarely make changes on our Development server - which is ...

Re: How do I not alert on Socket timeout after 30 seconds.
Excellent! Thank you. Discussed with the team and manager. We'll be giving this a go on our Test and UAT systems. Please leave case open until I try this for a while.

Re: Upgrade via GUI hangs.
Thank you for the information and suggestion. Issue is that one team in our organization handles the Admin duties of Nagios while another team handles the server & operating system. In other words, I don't have authority to run any command line functions on the XI server as that's considered a s...
