Hi,
this the output of the command:
snScalanceX300X400_V4.1.3.mib: Unknown Object Identifier (Sub-id not found: (top) -> snScalanceX300X400_V4)
Why?
.. and why this switch is 24 ports the nagiosxi web reports scan 48 switch ports?
Regards,
-basti

Switch siemens scalance x300
Hi, I have a problem monitoring a Siemens scalance x300 switch. The switch has 24 ports and the protocol is v1/v2. I have uploaded the mibs of the switch. If I try to scan it from configuration wizard network switch, both with Port description and ports name, it fails to load the correct information...

Re: nagios monitoring proxy core
Hi Benjamin, thanks for answering. I think it is a serious major problem for an Enterprise product such as NagiosXI. Other software eg Zabbix, Icinga, check_mk etc already have this native implementation. (I wouldn't be comparing the software, I like Nagios) It is not for the number of hosts / servi...

Nagios 5.8.7 - case sensitive
Hi,
I have updated the nagios from 5.8.5 to 5.8.7 and I see that now the host and service search inside the core config manager is case sensitive. Why?
Am I wrong something?
Best regards,
Fede

Re: nagios monitoring proxy core
Hi,
Sorry,I would like to understand.
So is the distributed monitoring functionality natively implemented with the new version of Nagios6?
Best regards,
Federico

nagios monitoring proxy core
Hi, I am only interested in Federated Monitoring that it seems to me a project carried out by people outside nagios and not very easy to maintain. Is the project valid? Do you recommend it? I would like to monitor systems behind very unstable VPNs. I would like to insert a nagios and send alarms to ...

Re: Event handler
Hi Smith, Ok. But there is no chance to see that it starts running after a critical from dashbord. Sending an email is fine, but you have to be careful if you receive an email. A technician cannot know from the dashboard if an event handler is running. This seems to me a great management limitation....
