Re: added host in host group but not see

vtcedu, A few of things come to mind. First, what version of XI are you using? Other questions: 1. Did you click "Apply Configuration"? 2. If you click "Manage Hosts" in the Host Group, do you see the added hosts in the left box in the popup grayed out with a link icon? If so, th...

Re: SRX 1500 and NagiosXI

Hebenon,

I have no data as to the efficacy of this plugin as it is community provided, but I looked through the Nagios Exchange and found a plugin for monitoring Juniper SRX devices. Perhaps this will suit your use case.

Re: Nagios requirement of LSASS access

ipbbw, To my knowledge, nothing we ship with Nagios XI will interact with lsass.exe out of the box. I'm guessing either: 1. Some Windows security policy is routing ncpa.exe through lsass.exe to check permissions, or... 2. You have a homebrewed plugin - perhaps acquired from the Nagios Exchange - tha...

Re: IP address changing

tryingtobeIT, First, a disclaimer: this is outside of the bounds of what Nagios can officially support, as it will touch several pieces of your infrastructure not directly related to your Nagios XI instance. Specifically, this change needs to happen on the operating system level first to set the mac...

As a follow up, I have chromium-131.0.6778.204 installed on my system. I do not have the file you mentioned anywhere on the filesystem.

Re: jQuery < 1.9.0 XSS Vulnerability located in Snap/chromium folder

LJMangha,

I'm not sure this file is directly related to Nagios XI. A couple questions for you:

What distribution/version are you on?
Are you running anything else on this server?

Re: All network devices : Port Status Warning

tonnag,

Glad to hear you got this worked out. I'll create an issue internally to look a bit deeper into a potential bug. Marking this thread as resolved and locking it.

Re: All network devices : Port Status Warning

tonnag, If I was to take a guess, you likely have one of the following issues: - The SNMP service isn't running on the hosts - The SNMP traffic is blocked (perhaps SNMP is disabled) - Your SNMP credentials (e.g. community string) are incorrect Have you considered all of the above? Best Regards, Cory...

Re: Bulk add service to multiple hosts

cunningrat, If you have a host template setup that matches roughly what you need, the bulk cloning and import wizard should get you pretty close to where you need to be: https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagiosxi/docs/How-To-Use-The-Nagios-XI-Bulk-Host-Cloning-And-Import-Wizard.pdf Best Regards, C...

Re: World Writeable Permissions Question

dxfuentes,

While the vast majority of the XI interface won't be affected by changing permissions of the mentioned resources - and you can absolutely do so - it is possible that the SNMP Trap Interface and the Autodiscovery component won't work quite right.
