SNMP Trap Sender
I have service checks that have been set up in Nagios XI 5.4.12. We are using snmp trap sender component in Nagios XI 5.4.12 to send traps to a 3rd party snmp trap receiver. We set the snmp trap sender to only send critical alerts. We DO NOT have any contacts or notifications setup in our Nagios XI....

hi scottwilkerson, so the settings in the "alert settings" tab do not apply to snmp trap sender as well? snmp trap sender will just send out traps once the state changes to critical without any wait or delay time? in this case can i conclude that "check settings" and "alert ...

hi scottwilkerson,
it means for scenario 1, if i click on "Acknowledge this problem" in the service that is returning "critical" which will not be resolved immediately (eg. needs lead time to replace hard disk)
snmp traps will still be sent out? and at every check interval?
