I found what the problem is. In the upgrade script on line 2588 you see: mysql -u root --password=" $mysqlpass " < nagiosxi/nagiosxi-db/mods/mysql/schema_60000_root.sql The variable $mysqlpass holds the (default?) password 'nagiosxi'. In our case it was changed to another one, so login to ...
