Thanks for the response. I am on Debian 11 which is definitely capable, but it won't update to use PHP v8, it still defaults to v7.4 so I was curious if there was documentation on the process as every system behaves wildly different with this update. I am also on version 5.11.2 for Nagios XI.
Thanks,

Re: NagiosXI Upgrade 5.9.0 to 5.11.2 Failed
This may or may not be helpful as I am not a guru at doing anything Nagios, but have you tried doing a repair of the database? They have a document on that here: https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... tabase.pdf
PHP v8
Is there a document somewhere to changeover PHP v7.4 to PHP v8? I looked for a long time to no avail and wanted to get off of a version that is now unsecure.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Nagios XI and Nagvis Issues
I will post errors if I see them, but I haven't through this whole process. The only thing I can help post is the global config after it does its weird thing. Thanks for the help and troubleshooting with me!

Re: Nagios XI and Nagvis Issues
Okay, I will try and do that next time, but it doesn't matter if I am in it or not. I watch my NOC screen and they disappear off of that. To lock it, I either go back into the config and change header=0 to header=1 or I try to do it from the menu. Sometimes in the menu it will not work to turn it of...

Re: Nagios XI and Nagvis Issues
Here is a new map that I just created: define global { alias=TestMap object_id=0 } Here are the steps that I take to create my map: -I create my background with all the nice things on it (customized jpeg with all items typed out so I can add statuses next to them) -Upload my background jpeg -change ...

Re: Nagios XI and Nagvis Issues
I had to go to my .cfg file and edit it as everytime I make a change within Nagvis in Nagios XI, it creates a whole new "Global" config under the one I have. I deleted the old one and then refreshed my Nagvis and it did show up! I am not sure what else to do about my extra configs every ti...

Re: Nagios XI and Nagvis Issues
It is for a brand new map and it happens to the existing ones as well. My Nagios XI version is 5.4.13 and I separately updated my NagVis to 1.9.8 before I knew it was going to cause this big of an issue.

Re: Nagios XI and Nagvis Issues
The first weird thing is that if I change the map to none, it will still show the map as what it is currently. I have to go into the config under /usr/local/nagvis/etc/maps/map.cfg and it has multiple entries in there with all the settings I changed. I have to delete all of them except for the one t...
