Re: Critical-unknown-critical state change notifications flo
Unfortunately the tunnels are between continents and stability cannot be fixed. This is why I am looking to eliminate, or at least reduce the spam. Is there a way to make Nagios think that Unknown status is actually OK status regarding notifications(I guess expecting one master "switch-case&quo...

Critical-unknown-critical state change notifications flood
Hello, I have an issue which, I guess, other people have encountered, but I can't seem to find a solution for. The situation is like this: NagiosXI 5.4.13. Traffic going through a lot of unstable tunnels. A lot of SNMP queries timing out(which is expected due to the tunnels' instability). When I hav...

Hello, I have NagiosXI 5.4.13 I have issue understanding the logic of the behaviour I am seeing. The story - we have a remote site with 13 devices, which has terrible internet and frequent power outages so we got many flapping start, flapping stop alarms(4-5 every hour for 10 devices, and 2 devices ...

Re: E-mail server not reflecting change.
Hi, The setting used is SMTP The "Send Mail From" setting is set to Nagios XI <nagios-xxx@xxx-xxxx.info> (The x-es are other letters, I have just ommited them) I have only set settings in the "Manage Email Settings" section - everything else I have accessed is just on read-only b...

E-mail server not reflecting change.
Hello, I run NagiosXI 5.4.13 on CentOS 7. I had set up an e-mail server, though it turned out I have a typo and now, when I enter the correct address the test mail arrives without problems, but the notifications themselves don't arrive. What puzzles me is that apart from the wrong mail server I have...

Re: NagiosXI Bulk modification tool not working properly
Hi, I have noticed a similar issue(though it is on 5.4.13), I found out that the bulk modification tool will update about ~300 services or hosts and then the next don't get edited. When deleting I cannot delete more than the same amount(I have tried with 600, 1000 and 2900 and it spits error) - do y...

Re: Separate NagiosXIs with overlapping regions
Thanks a lot for your reply, you really filled some big gaps in my knowledge. I will work on the migration script and if something not too site specific comes out of this I will share it for others to use.

Separate NagiosXIs with overlapping regions
Hello, I have spent the better part of a week reading and trying solutions for my issue so I thought I'd ask here as well. I have the following situation(I will simplify for clarity): 3 sites to monitor(A B and C), two NagiosXIs(in A and B). NagiosXI A, monitoring site A, site B and site C NagiosXI ...
