Re: Yum Plugin With NCPA
Does it work if you call "sudo yum"? I.e. sudo yum check-update >/dev/null What is the content of your /etc/sudoers file? If you configure it so the 'nagios' user has sudo access to run yum commands, it should work. Insert this line at the end of /etc/sudoers only if it doesn't work right...

Yum Plugin With NCPA
Good morning. Using the Linux Server Wizard, I created a series of monitors for a new RHEL server using the NCPA agent. However, the new NCPA wizard does not create a yum monitor to see to O/S is up to date. I created a bash script as a plugin in the /usr/local/ncpa/plugins directory. NRPE uses a pe...

Upgrade PHP from 7.2 to 7.3

Add Custom Authorization Levels (Roles)
Good morning. There does not appear to be a way to create custom authorization levels based on user roles. The current options are Admin or User (with whatever privileges have been assigned). We would find it useful to have a stored set of privileges that would be assigned based on a user's role. Th...

Nagios not working properly after CentOS update
Yesterday I applied an update to our dev and production servers with yum. It included what seemed to be a minor update to CentOS, so I rebooted when it was done. These servers monitor each other. A short while later, I noticed that they still said that a yum update was required. After rebooting and ...

Status Page Not Rendering Record Counts Properly
Good morning. This issue only occurs on my Windows 10 desktop PC at work. I access the PC from home using a Windows 10 laptop with Remote Desktop. The status page (hosts, services, etc.) record counts overwrite other objects on the page. I have cleared the browser cache and tried on IE and Chrome an...

Re: Port 5666: Connection Refused After 5.7.1 Update
Thank you for the replies. I should note that these Nagios servers monitor each other. I have only updated the dev server so far. The only change I made -- after reviewing the replies -- was to add the IP address of the production server to hosts_allowed in /usr/local/nagios/etc/nrpe.cfg on the upda...

Port 5666: Connection Refused After 5.7.1 Update
Yesterday, I updated our Nagios dev server to 5.7.1. On our production server, we have monitors that check the dev server. All of these monitors are getting an error: (No output on stdout) stderr: connect to address 10.0.11.89 port 5666: Connection refused I rebooted both servers and still get the e...
