Re: Issues after installing NRPE - Connection reset by peer
Could you please double check that the IP address for only_from is specified correctly in the '/etc/xinetd.d/nrpe'? It should look similar to: service nrpe { disable = no per_source = 25 ... only_from= 127.0.0.1 192.168.xxx.xxx } where the IP address is the XI server address. I would like to emphasi...

Re: Which day is Nagios starting his week ?
In Core, 'monday 1' in the object definition just simply means 1st Monday of the month, instead of 1st Monday of the 1st week that starts with Sunday. Since October 1st was indeed the first Monday of the month, that is what it referred to. This means that technically, in the month of October, you ca...

Re: Swap Usage
There may be several options to resolve this. You could increase your RAM, create a new swap partition, create a new swap file, or extend an existing swap volume. The specifics of what needs to be done for any of the options would depend on the specifics of your system.

Re: Ping a device every 5 seconds and report loss immediatel
Just to add a little more about what is going on, Nagios periodically checks the freshness of the results for all hosts services that have freshness checking enabled. If you have a freshness threshold of 5 for one of your services, Nagios will consider that service to be stale if its last check resu...

Re: Monitoring logs in remote server using nagios xi
It does sound like you may want to check out Nagios Log Server since is a very powerful log monitoring tool and it can also be easily integrated with XI. Within XI, however, you can monitor windows event logs and see the documentation below for details. https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagiosxi/d...

Re: Google Maps: don't show Scheduled downtime hosts
Hi Pleumi, Unfortunately, the Google Maps component as of now does not support that particular feature regarding hosts under scheduled downtime. However, I can submit a feature request for the component on your behalf if you would like. Otherwise, you could request custom development or develop that...

Re: SSL_ERR 5 Error -Could not complete SSL handshake with
Hello Valkeyr,
First, just in case you have not, please try to restart the nsclient service to see if this resolves the issue. You should be able to do this from Services under Administrative Tools.
Could you also include the contents of nsclient.log without sensitive information.

Re: windows disk latency check
Hi ansaaft, I would like to reiterate that for SSL handshake to complete successfully, both the XI server and the windows client need to have each other in the allowed hosts for NRPE. This means that on the XI server, you will need to make sure that its NRPE configuration has the windows server as o...
