Re: Monitor script execution
Unfortunately I can't run from nagios the scripts because we need that is the server itself that run script. Then you'd leverage an agent like NCPA , NRPE , NSClient++ , just to name a few (the docs mention Nagios XI, but they are also valid for Nagios Core). The agent would then be responsible for...

Re: Department host group
If your goal is to assign the Services to the Hostgroup, rather than defining a bunch of duplicate services for each host, the best way to structure it would depend on which agents you're leveraging since they may have different syntax for their check commands. If everything is using NCPA, you proba...

Re: Modification of current config to include NLS
That would be another option. I suggest using setup-linux.sh simply as a time save and to make sure you're starting with a fresh config file.

Re: Automate daily mass delete hosts
That aside, lmiltchev tested this and even if there is a host->hostgroup and hostgroup->host dependency for a given host it shouldn't affect API deletion. I didn't have any problems deleting a host in that configuration. You could try adding force=1 to your API request and see if that makes a differ...

Re: LOG Pattern Matching
The easiest way to create a query would be to get your dashboard displaying the events you would like to match, then using the "Manage Queries" button (magnifying glass at the top) to save the dashboard's query:

Re: Modification of current config to include NLS
Ah, that makes sense. From where you are now, I think using our "Linux Files" log source setup guide (from the NLS GUI) against the /var/opt/lrms/log/jupiter-local6.log file should get those entries into NLS now. I would just be sure that logic is baked into a totally separate rsyslog conf...

Re: Automate daily mass delete hosts
Since that Host object has relationships with both the DRT_CVT and MCY-708-CST Hostgroups, you will first need to eliminate those dependencies before you can delete the Host object. Since the API doesn't currently allow you to cherry-pick specific hosts out of hostgroups, you would essentially need ...

Re: Wrong Alerts from Alterting function in NLS 1.4.4
when I show the dashboard of this alert, the condition is not given Could you elaborate on this? When you say the condition is not given, do you mean that the Nagios Log Server Alerts page does not display anything? Can you also share the output of this command and tell me the name of the alert tha...

Re: Modification of current config to include NLS
Apologies if we missed it, but can we also get a fresh copy of your /etc/rsyslog.conf file? We may need to explicitly exclude local6 from some default processors.

Re: Windows Server Not Showing Memory Usage in Nagios Xi Met
My next thought would be to move these files out of the main perfdata path: -rwxrwxr-x 1 nagios nagios 384952 Mar 29 10:30 Memory_Usage.rrd -rw-rw-r-- 1 nagios nagios 3055 Mar 29 10:30 Memory_Usage.xml And put them in some sort of backup path for the time being. Fresh files will regenerate over the ...
