Re: Pull logs from a Node

However, they are scp the logs to NLS directly every 10mins. That's ... inefficient to say the least. Most native syslog agents/daemons have been able to ship to remote syslog servers for over a decade now and they'll do a much better job than scp ever could. shipper.py on a cron job could work. Ot...

Re: Nagios Core Front-End - CGI times out

Which version of Nagios Core did you install? What instructions did you use to install it? What sort of resources does this machine have available to it? You could bump up the TimeOut directive of your main Apache config file to see if it returns at all -- even if it takes a while. Many of the repor...

Re: check_snmp_win not working for some service/host

When i put this in a host file, it's not working but when i launch it directly it's working. Can you share exactly what Nagios Core outputs when you attempt to put it in a host file? This is incredibly useful information for troubleshooting. Did you run this command as root? ./check_windows_service...

Re: showmount: Program not registered

Can you share the full Nagios service definition associated with the "NFS" service on host "awhu013a"? Can you also share copies of any scripts/plugins supporting the check_command parameter under the "NFS" service definition? This sounds like some sort of systemd/initd...

Re: Monitor sites on nodes

I would think step 0 would be defining what "availability" looks like. If the sites are available locally on those machines, you could use check_http coupled with an agent like NRPE / NCPA to attempt to reach them through localhost. But that doesn't guarantee that those *specific* nodes ar...

Re: Nagios Core with Nagflux and InfluxDB

That plugin does not appear to be providing any performance data. As Nagflux only deals with performance data, this adds up. Please refer to the nagios plugin development guidelines for how plugins should present performance data: https://nagios-plugins.org/doc/guidelines.html#AEN200 There are defin...

Re: Explorer.exe CRITICAL: critical(explorer.exe : stopped)

Which Windows version? explorer.exe is weird -- it only runs when a user is actually logged into the machine and NSClient++'s polling of that specific process can misbehave:
