Hello,

i have mail notification enabled at my nagios server. The last few hours i am receiving too many mails for problems from past days (i.e. 4 or 18 of May)

Can i check if the are queued mails somewhere?

Is there any other suggestions?

found the problem!

i had changed only the directory permission and not the files included to them.

i fixed it and worked fine

when i run

chmod o-rwx /usr/local/nagios/libexec/*

gui returns error code 13 out of bounds
and
cli returns the following
./check_ping -H x.x.x.x
bash: ./check_ping: Permission denied

permissions of script are

-rwxrwx---. 1 root root 188695 Dec 30 23:33 check_ping

same for every check script

What are the needed permissions for libexec directory and configuration directory.

when i try to "chmod -R o-rwx" both of them and "chown nagios:nagios" both of them i get an error code 13 out of bounds for ALL my services

Any suggestions?

please close this thread. It was a critical issue and we restored our backup so i cannot reply and give more infos about the problem.

No. When i run service nagios start there are no erros but no lock file is created and nagios dont really start

My nagios server (process_ suddenly stopped running. When i run service nagios status i get No lock file found in /var/run/nagios.lock and at the web interface unable to get process status or nagios (pid 2469) is running... and at the web interface not running At both nagios does not actually run

i Solved it...!!!!!

at the .ini file it shoud be

allow nasty characters = true
allow arguments = true

not 1

and

ssl options = (blank)
