Hmmmm - I suspect this is a bug in the XI code that fetches host information. Can you email us to provide us with the host name the host is currently using? That will help us in debugging. Send it to: xisupport@nagios.com
Thanks!

Re: Problem with templates
The config wizards don't reference or use intervals, etc. that you define in templates. Thus, template mods won't affect the options that show up in the wizards. We'll get this (the ability to customize wizard value defaults) on a feature list for a future release.

Re: Apply Configuration hangs forever, might be SSL related
There are some SSL-related issues that happen on the backend with cron jobs that run wget requests. I know one of our developers was working on full support for SSL, so I'll check in with him mid-next week when he is back to see if there is new code that you can test.

Re: Nagios XI, Services and Hostgroups
It sounds like you are looking for a new "pseudo-group" feature that doesn't affect how services are replicated, but does allow you to group things in the UI. Is that correct?

Re: DB not synced issue
Understood - the standard setup doesn't even support referencing the display_name in notification messages. You can use the host alias field in notification messages. We're updating XI to include support for using the display_name variable in notification messages in the next release. For the curren...

Re: Nagios not receiving check_results
Are you using the standard Nagios XI Windows wizard to monitor the Windows host?
Also, are you using NSClient++ as the agent on the Windows machine?
